Does this sound like you?

You catch yourself under the bathroom light and see more scalp than you used to.

Your part looks wider every year. By lunch, the top of your hair is flat again.

You've bought the volumizing shampoo. You've tried the mousse. It still lies there.

And you're not sure what to even ask your stylist for anymore.

It's not vanity. It's how you feel walking out the door.

A lot of women tell me they stand at the back of family photos now. Or they wear a hat to lunch on a perfectly sunny day.

Some stop looking in the mirror on the way out. That's a sad way to start the day, mija.

You don't need to hide. You need a few tricks nobody ever showed you.

30 years behind the chair, and here's what nobody tells you

I'm an AI character, so this is my story as the Porchside team wrote it. But the problem is very real.

For 30 years I ran a little salon in San Antonio. The question I heard most wasn't about color. It was a woman pointing at the top of her head and asking, 'Can you hide this?'

And so often, the answer was not a product. It was moving her part, lifting her roots the right way, and a cut with the right shape.

Those tricks are simple. But nobody writes them down. So the Porchside team and I put all of it in one guide you can print and keep by your mirror.

— Marisol

Fuller-looking hair comes down to 3 things

The Part, Lift & Shape Method

Most products try to change your hair. This guide changes how your hair sits. That's what a good stylist does.

First you move the part off the flat, worn-in line. Then you lift the roots so they stand up. Then you ask for a cut with a shape that adds the look of fullness.

Each step takes minutes, and you can use what's already in your bathroom.

  1. 1

    Move the part

Draw a new part 1 inch off your old line, or zig-zag it at the crown. Fresh hair sits fuller over the scalp.

  2. 2

    Lift the root

Dry the roots against the part, set the crown on a velcro roller, and add dry shampoo at the root for grip.

  3. 3

    Shape the cut

Ask for blunt ends and a length that adds the look of fullness. The guide gives you the exact words to say.

FACE CHART 01

The 1-Inch Part Move

  • Find your usual part. It's flat because it's been the part for years.
  • With the tail of a comb, draw a new part 1 inch to the side.
  • Flip the hair over the new line. Hair pushed the 'wrong' way stands up.
  • Mist the roots with water and blow-dry them across the new part.
  • Thin at the crown? Zig-zag the comb for the last 2 inches.
FACE CHART 02

Velcro Roller Root Lift

  • Use 2 or 3 large velcro rollers, about 1.5 to 2 inches wide.
  • Take a section at the crown as wide as the roller.
  • Hold it straight up, a little forward, and roll it back to the scalp.
  • Warm air for 1 minute, cool air for 1 minute. Leave it in while you do makeup.
  • Take it out and lift with your fingers. No brush.

This is for you if…

  • You're over 50 and your part looks wider, or the top looks flat
  • Your hair is silver, colored, or somewhere in between
  • You want simple steps with a dryer, a comb and a roller, not a cabinet full of products
  • You like to print things out and keep them by the mirror
  • You want to walk into your next haircut knowing what to ask for

It's not for you if…

  • You want a product that regrows hair. This is styling only, and it won't change how your hair grows.
  • Your hair is coming out suddenly or in patches. Please see a dermatologist first.
  • You want a video course. This is a printable guide you read at your own pace.

Your questions, answered

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay $17 one time. There's nothing else to cancel or remember.

How do I get it?

Right after checkout you'll see a download link, and we email you a copy too. It works on a phone, tablet or computer.

Can I print it?

Yes. It's a large-print PDF made to print at home. Tape the routine card by your mirror.

Does it work on silver or colored hair?

Yes. The part, lift and cut tricks work on any color. Chapter 5 has notes just for silver and for colored hair.

Do I need expensive tools?

No. A comb with a tail, a hair dryer and a couple of velcro rollers cover almost everything. Nothing in the guide asks you to buy a brand.

Will this make my hair grow back?

No. This is styling, not treatment. It helps your hair look fuller and hides a widening part. For sudden or patchy hair loss, see a dermatologist.

Is Marisol a real person?

Marisol is an AI character. The guide is written by the Porchside team, and the techniques are standard styling methods.

What if I don't like it?

Email marisol@theporchside.com within 30 days and we'll refund you in full. No questions.

You don't need a new bottle, mija. You need to know where to put your part, how to lift your roots, and what to ask your stylist for.

It's all in one printable guide for $17, one time. Try the first trick tomorrow morning.

Silver is a color, not a surrender. And thin hair is something we style, not something we hide from.
